Every year, Apple comes out with a banger, and the primary cause of it is the iPhone lineup’s tremendous success, which effectively launched the smartphone era. That’s why the anticipation for the iPhone 14 was so high, and so was for the iPhone 15. Yup! The long-awaited iPhone 15 lineup is soon to be released worldwide, which also includes Pakistan. Those who own and use any kind of iPhone understand that this year is going to be a banger.

However, there are plenty of unanswered questions surrounding the iPhone 15 lineups. Questions like “How many models with the iPhone 15 lineup include?” “Will there be an iPhone 15 Plus model as well?” “What will be the design of the iPhone 15?” “What will be the differences between the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max?” All of these are pretty good questions which I’ll be answering in today’s articles. One by one, I’ll be covering every possible topic that has been swirling around the entire iPhone 15 lineup. 

However, before we start covering any of the features, price, and release date of the iPhone 15 lineup, you should be aware that all of these are rumors. Apple has made no official announcement regarding this particular lineup of iPhones. All the information that you’re about to receive in this article is purely speculation or leaks (which may or may not be correct).

With that said, let’s begin this article with the first rumor regarding this amazing lineup of smartphones which is suspected of changing the entirety of the smartphone market. The very first rumor that we’ll be covering will be the release date.

iPhone 15 Release Date

Now, Apple has been mostly consistent with when they announce the iPhone and when they release it. This might also be true for the iPhone 15 lineup. Just last year, the iPhone 14 was launched on September 7, Wednesday and the release date was September 16, Friday. If we’re to suspect that this will also be true for the new iPhone 15, then it’s very likely that you can easily get your hands on this amazing and powerful phone in the mid of September at the earliest.

In the entirety of the iPhone’s release history, there was only one instance in which Apple didn’t stick to its release schedule, and that was only because of the Covid-19 that shook the entirety of the world’s populace. People were trying to stay away from one to avoid getting sick, and it’s no surprise that the iPhone 12 release was delayed.

However, after the world recovered from such a devastating event, they went back to releasing new iPhones around the same time. So, considering all of the previous track records of a massive company, it’s too easy to guess when the new Apple iPhone 15 will be launched. Normally, they announce the release of a new iPhone around 10 days before it’s available for purchase. This also includes the week of pre-orders for the device. 

By this estimation, the iPhone 15 release date should be accurate because if it was announced around the first five days of September, then it’s highly likely that the mobile phone will be available for everyone in the middle of the month.

However, there have been a few rumors going around that this latest iPhone might come out a bit earlier than the estimated time frame. This is because the trial products for the new iPhone 15 lineup (which might include the iPhone 15 Plus variant) were started in the month of January. It’s mostly associated with the fact that Apple’s plan of mass production in both China & India. So, if things go as they are moving forwards, we can’t roll out the possibility of seeing the latest iPhone earlier than expected.

Even though things are moving much faster than expected, keep in mind that, more likely than not, the iPhone 15 lineup will be publicly available in September.

iPhone 15 Price in Pakistan

The price of an iPhone has always been a sore subject because the iPhone price in Pakistan has always been much higher than any of the other smart devices. Even the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra are nothing when compared to iPhone 14 Pro Max. 

And judging by the previous track record of previous iPhones, it goes without saying that neither the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max will be cheap. That’s because there are several different factors that affect the overall iPhone 15 price in Pakistan.

One of the main is that it’s linked to the dollar rate. The higher the dollar rate in Pakistan, the higher the price of any export product will be. That’s why when you go to a marketplace, you’ll see different prices for the products every day. Even a used iPhone is something that most people have difficulty affording, and this is one of the reasons why that is.

Another reason why the iPhone 15 Price in Pakistan is going to be higher when compared to other countries is that if you want to use an iPhone in Pakistan to make calls and receive text messages, you need to get it PTA approved. If the device isn’t registered with PTA, after a few months, the phone won’t support any of the Pakistani networks. 

That shouldn’t be an issue on its own, but when you consider the price of getting a PTA approval, you’re sure to understand the iPhone 15 Price in Pakistan. 

However, that’s not all because there has been a rumor going around that since the iPhone 15 will be using the latest technologies, there is a chance that the prices for all of the models (and yes, I mean all) will be much higher. It’s a speculation, but there is a chance that the iPhone 15 Pro will see a price hike of $100. Since the dollar rate is constantly fluctuating in Pakistan, there is no telling how much more expensive this smartphone is going to be.

However, according to a Korean leaker, there is a chance that Apple will be lowering the price of the iPhone 15 a little bit. It’s speculated that Apple is trying to promote the sale of the iPhone 15 Plus much more, so there is that. 

iPhone 15 Various Models

Many people are wondering right now, “How many models might we see this year for the iPhone 15 lineup?” If we look back, ever since the success of the iPhone X series, Apple has been making 3-4 kinds of variants. They normally went by the base model, the Pro model, and the Pro Max model. 

In one iteration of the iPhone lineup, they also came out with a mini model, but that wasn’t very successful. However, last year, they decided to remove the mini variant and release the iPhone 14 Plus variant.

It is expected that Apple will follow the same formula and release 4 variants which are as follows.

• Apple iPhone 15 
• Apple iPhone 15 Plus
• Apple iPhone 15 Pro
• Apple iPhone 15 Max

Apple is quite unlikely to create an iPhone 15 Mini, but who knows? Apple might decide to shock all of us this year.

Furthermore, bear in mind that the Apple iPhone 15 Ultra model has been reported to be released for a while. However, there might still be some time because, according to a leaker, the release year of the Ultra model has been pushed back to 2024. The Ultra model may or may not come out with the iPhone 16 lineup. The models in that particular lineup of smartphones could be iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, but that’s a discussion for a later date because we haven’t even seen the 15 yet.

iPhone 15 Design

Even if you don’t own one, just by a simple glance at a collection of phones because of its cameras, you’ll identify which one is the iPhone. You can even identify which one is a used iPhone. 

The same will be true for the iPhone 15 lineup. If Apple follows the same design scheme as the iPhone 14, then we might see the same bezel on the base & Plus model and a dynamic island on the Pro & Pro Max variants. The dynamic island was one of the main reasons why people were clamoring to buy the iPhone 14 Pro Max from Wise Market Pakistan.

Nevertheless, there is a rumor circulating around that every iPhone model will have a dynamic island. That’s a significant development because it means that all iPhones will have a uniform front design, but it also means that the iPhone 15 lineup will be the first iPhone series with no notch and just a dynamic island.

You should be aware that the dynamic island may have a somewhat different appearance. It could be a bit small or something else, but there is speculation that it will look different.

You should be aware that the back of the iPhone 15 models may appear both somewhat different and recognizable at the same time. What I mean by it is that Apple might bring back the curved & slender design of the iPhone 6 series. It is just a speculation based on all of the previous generations of iPhones where Apple has jumped between both designs. 

However, the latest renders show that it’s quite likely to see a different shape for the iPhone 15. This also means the display of the iPhone would be a bit different as well. It is rumored that this lineup of new iPhones might get a curved display.

Other than that, the camera layout of the iPhone might remain the same. This means both the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus will come out with the same diagonal layout for the lenses. While the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature the same triple-lens layout the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

One disadvantage of having a new design for the iPhone 15 will be that the old cases for the iPhone 14 won’t fit on any of the devices. This is because both the display and the back of the phones will be different. But if they don’t change the shape of the mobile phone then there is a chance that the case might fit.

iPhone 15 Charging Port

The speculation that all iPhone 15 lineups would include a USB Type-C charging port has made this topic the buzz of the town right now. This is big because ever since they’ve adopted lightning ports for all of their new iPhones, they haven’t changed it.

However, as new smartphone technology is being introduced, the old ones become obsolete. Many big companies, like Samsung, Xiaomi, and Infinix, have started to use Type-C charging posts. However, Apple is the only big company that hasn’t started to use this in their phones. Keep in mind that I’m talking about smartphones because other devices, like Apple iPads, have been using Type-C charging ports.

So, if Apple chooses to go with the Type-C charging port route, then this might be the start of the end for the lightning port. The lightning port might still be available for Apple AirPods, but if they keep this up pretty soon, there will also be fewer lightning-type ports.

These are merely rumors at this point because some leakers are saying that it might be delayed till 2024. Making such a major change will surely affect some of the sales of the iPhone 15 because people have gotten used to lightning ports. However, Apple has come under pressure to use these charging connectors and design Type-C accessories with quick data transfer rates. So, it remains to be seen where Apple goes.

iPhone 15 Buttons

Another interesting thing that we might expect from the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max variants is the removal of physical buttons and the addition of solid-state buttons. However, many of you don’t know what a solid-state button is. To put it simply, they’re basically touch-sensitive areas (like mouse pads) that can be used instead of physical buttons.

This is a very fun concept for an iPhone 15 because, with the addition of solid-state buttons, the devices will have something better because these types of buttons are more durable. Some of you might not like this since you believe that you can’t replace the tactile nature of a physical button.

However, with the addition of a haptic motor, the feel of pressing a button can be very easily simulated. The addition of these buttons means that there will be fewer moving parts in the iPhone 15, and the overall water resistance of the phone can be significantly improved. However, there appears to be a snag in the plan since it has been reported that this feature’s intricacy is leading to some problems. Plus, it’s also stated that it will overall increase the Apple iPhone 15 price in Pakistan.

That’s why there is a chance that we won’t be seeing this feature in the new iPhone 15 lineup but instead, see it in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The rumor that an action button similar to the one on the Apple Watch Ultra may be added to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max is, on the other hand, far more credible.

The action button has been very successful on the Ultra smartwatch that Apple made, and now they’re bringing it to iPhone 15. You would be able to customize the button to your liking. It’s also rumored that this button will also be used to turn the phone silent, which doesn’t look good for the silent button on the side of an iPhone. This button has been a staple of the iPhone for as long as anyone can remember. 

It’s something that can depend on whether you possess a new or used iPhone. However, if they started to implement such a feature in the iPhone 15 lineup, then there is sure to be some backlash. But we can’t stand here and understate the value of an action button when compared to a silent switch. Only time will tell which feature will the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max come out with.

iPhone 15 Colors

Apple sure knows how to keep us guessing with the color schemes of new iPhones. Each year they come out with some of the most eye-catching colors that, to be honest, can’t be rivaled by another phone. This also applied to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which debuted in one of the most gorgeous purple colors. This is also true for the iPhone 13 Pro Max that came out with the Sierra Blue color.

This is also expected from the entirety of the iPhone 15 lineup. There have been quite a lot of speculations over the color variations that will come out this year, some of which are included here.

• White
• Black
• Golden
• Bright Pink
• Light Blue

The first three colors are the same as we’ve seen before, but the iPhone 15 will come in two new colors which are bright pink and light blue. Another expected color that we might see for this lineup of smartphones is the bright red option, but take it with a grain of salt. All these color options are speculations, and who knows, Apple might surprise us. Some are even speculating that Apple might release special color options for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max variants.

Plus, we can also see a new color after the release of the iPhone 15 lineup, just like when Apple released a new color variant for the iPhone 13. So, fingers crossed.

iPhone 15 Camera

All of the previous iterations of iPhones have had amazing cameras. The majority of the folks I know would only purchase an iPhone for its camera. Even though Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra surpassed the iPhone 14 Pro Max in terms of camera, this is the moment when Apple could come back.

Apple is upping their game with the new iPhone 15 lineup. There have been rumors that Apple will adopt a 48 MP camera lens for its entry-level iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus devices. Not to mention, some are even believing that these models will use three-stacked sensors instead of the usual two-stacked ones but it’s still not confirmed.

With the usage of such camera lenses, this means that they would need to improve upon the camera setup of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. There is no information regarding these new iPhones, but from what we can gather, it’s expected that these iPhone 15 models will be getting a periscopic zoom lens. In the past, Apple has been notorious when it comes to the zoom quality. Companies like Samsung have built their flagship mobile phones in a way that they can use 100x zoom and still get decent image quality.

That’s why if Apple wants to stay ahead in this game, then they have to use some sort of zoom lens to improve upon the overall image quality. This is where the rumored periscopic zoom lens could come in handy for the iPhone 15. Some also think that this variant will be exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro Max, but we’re currently unaware of it.

Another aspect that Apple needs to improve upon is image stabilization. I know, I know, all of the iPhones have some of the best image stabilization seen anywhere else. I mean, just look at iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max for reference. However, the OIS used by the new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra just raised the bar for it.

There have been demonstrations where people have been running down the stairs (extremely dangerous) and still got the smoothest-looking video ever. Even though the S23 Ultra has quite a lot going for it in the camera department, when it comes to OIS, this Samsung mobile phone has Apple soundly beat. 

There were also talks about changing the camera of the iPhone 15 from 7P to 8P, but that has been changed, and now they’re more likely than not sticking with a 7P lens. Since most of you might not understand what I’m talking about, let me explain. What a 7P lens means is a 7-element lens. The higher the number of elements will be in a camera, the better light will be absorbed for even better image quality.

However, some individuals are speculating that Apple might collaborate with Sony. They’ve known for making some of the best cameras on the market, and considering if they partner up with Apple for the iPhone 15, then they can beat the latest Samsung mobile phone.

All of this is great, but keep in mind that these are only rumors, and Apple might completely change course and use the same camera module. It’s also one of the rumors that have been floating around. However, the silver lining of this rumor is that Apple might be working on the exposure control of the iPhone 15, which has been their biggest issue in any model. If they manage to control these, there is a chance to see much better pictures and video quality.

Another rumor about the iPhone 15 camera that has been going around a lot is that Apple might use a better LiDAR sensor technology. Apparently, they’re planning to go for the AR/portrait mode auxiliary sensor, which will result in better quality for camera modes requiring this sensor. 

iPhone 15 Display

Now, after the camera, the next thing that all of us focus on is the display of the phone. Apple has been utilizing some of the best displays available on the market. Each year they come out with some of the best display technology. People think that the iPhone 15 Pro Max display would have 2,500 nits of light, which is a lot more than the iPhone 14 Pro Max‘s 2,000 nits. If that’s true, then that would make the 15 Pro Max the iPhone with the brightest screen on the market.

This means that the display of their next best mobile phone will be much brighter when compared to another device available on the market. On the other hand, the display sizes of the iPhone 15 are rumored to remain the same. This means that the displays on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will both be 6.1 inches, while the displays on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be 6.7 inches. 

But there’s a slight chance that the display size of both base models will be increased by 0.1-inch. Meaning we could see 6.2-inch displays for the new iPhone base models. On a sadder note, Apple might stay with the same 60Hz refresh rate for them as well. That’s a bummer because most high-end mobile phones available in Pakistan today have at least a 90 Hz refresh rate. This could be potentially an issue because most people have gotten used to fast displays.

iPhone 15 Specification

When talking about the specification of an iPhone, the chipset it uses is the first thing that comes to mind. Most of the time, a new chipset comes with each new generation of iPhone. However, that all changed in 2022 because, with the release of the iPhone 14 lineup, it was made clear that the new chipset was used for variants like the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. 

This could emerge as a trend because there has been speculation that the base models of the iPhone 15 lineup will be getting the previous generation A16 Bionic chipset while the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be getting the new A17 chipset.

But if we consider that last year was just a one-time thing, we can possibly see all the iPhone 15 variants get the A17 chipset. However, that doesn’t seem like a likely thing to happen. You should know, though, that we don’t yet know how well the new chipset will work.

All we have is speculation, but if those speculations come to be, then we can see a massive improvement in the overall performance of the iPhone 15 variants that will have this chipset. Some experts who understand the inner workings of a chipset have come to the conclusion that there might be at least a 30%-35% increase in energy efficiency. Some are even saying that the speed improvement of the mobile phone will be so much that it could leave iPhone 14 Pro Max in the dust.

As opposed to the RAM of the iPhone 15 might also see a significant boost because the total RAM size could be increased to 8GB, which would imply the usage of LPDDR5, but that is still unconfirmed. Another thing that many are speculating about is that Apple will introduce their very own modems for the iPhone 15, but something is indicating the fact that they would still be using the Qualcomm modem. This leaves us to speculate that Apple might bring their modems with the iPhone 16 in 2024.

Another specification rumor that has been going around is the introduction of Wi-Fi 6E for the iPhone 15, but that could very well be an iPhone 15 Pro.

iPhone 15 iOS

This is no big speculation or rumor because Apple has been quite consistent with this one. Normally, whenever a new iPhone model comes out, a new iOS update also comes with it. This was the case for the iPhone 14 Pro Max because when it came out, the iOS 16 also made its first appearance. I immediately updated my iPhone 12 Pro to this version of iOS to get all of the latest updates.

This means that, if Apple doesn’t have any surprises in store for us, we’ll probably see iOS 17 along with the new iPhone 15. There is a chance that Apple will show the preview of this new version of iOS somewhere in the middle of June 2023. 

One interesting tidbit that has been floating around is that Apple might get more comfortable with third-party app stores. This is quite big because no matter if you’re using a new iPhone or a used iPhone, one constant remains that Apple doesn’t allow any kind of application to be installed on them if they aren’t properly certified. So, if they do plan to allow a third-party app store with this iOS, then it could open a whole new gate for the iPhone 15 lineup.

Another rumor about the iPhone 15 apps will more likely than not look different than usual. Apps like Wallet and Health could look quite different. However, all of these things are rumors, and only time will tell whether or not any of these things are true. Once the beta version of this iOS update rolls out, only then can we conclude what this iOS 15 will entail.

iPhone 15 Battery

The battery life of the last two generations of iPhones has significantly increased thanks to Apple’s efforts. Although the battery life of my used iPhone 12 Pro isn’t terrible or anything, it isn’t particularly impressive when compared to that of newer iPhones.

Battery capacities of devices like flagship Samsung mobile phones have been so high that you won’t even need to charge the phone during the entire day. However, Apple has started to catch on, and the battery life of devices like the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max are some of the best seen anywhere else. I’m aware of a few folks who claim that after charging their most recent Pro models with little use, the battery life can be increased to 1 or 2 days. However, that’s on minimal usage like making calls and responding to text, but even with the battery capacity they come with, they can easily last for quite a while throughout the day, and you won’t even need to recharge the phone.

This also looks like the case for the iPhone 15 lineup, but some are saying that this will be especially for the iPhone 15 Pro model. As you might’ve seen in all of the other specifications of this lineup of the phone is that Apple will be mainly focusing on energy efficiency. The display, the chipset, and the iOS will all be made with the goal of preserving as much battery life as possible, so the user could get the most out of it. Add that to the fact that the display size of base models of the iPhone 15 might be a bit larger than usual, and then we might see a bigger battery in them.

Not to mention, if Apple does go for the Type-C charging ports for the entirety of the Apple iPhone 15 lineup, then we can see significantly fast charging speeds.

My Thought on iPhone 15 Rumors

No matter which variant of iPhone 15 you plan to go for, if these rumors are to be believed, this generation of new iPhones is nothing to scoff at. Each and everything about the iPhone 15 is quite intriguing. 

However, I would reiterate that all of these things that I mentioned are rumors, and nothing has been confirmed yet. So take everything about the iPhone 15 lineup with a grain of salt, and don’t come at me with your pitchforks if any of the predictions don’t come true.
