The New Samsung Galaxy S23 Rumors That You Need to Know

As far as getting the latest technology goes, 2023 looks to be quite interesting. All of the tech-related companies have been busy in the last year, and they’re ready to bring out the latest products for the whole world to see. The same is also true for Samsung, who’ve been working on the new iteration of their latest flagship smartphone ever since the release of the Samsung Galaxy S22 5G.

This smartphone shocked the entire world, and it looks like it will be the same as Samsung Galaxy S23. This phone is set to release in February next month. However, it will need to fill quite the big shoes of the Samsung S22.

Therefore, let’s take a look at what the Samsung Galaxy S23 has to offer.

The New Samsung Galaxy S23 Rumors That You Need to Know

 Samsung Galaxy S23

Before we begin, I need to make something really clear. All the information about the smartphone that I’m going to give you is nothing but rumors. Since the device hasn’t been released and there is no official spec sheet for the device, then all of the things that we’ll discuss will completely depend on the speculations of the professional and some hearsay from other people.

Now, with all that said, here are some things that we might expect from the S23 lineup.

What Kind of Variant Will We See

The very first thing that everyone has on their minds is how many variants we will get. This is because almost every smartphone manufacturer doesn’t only release only one iteration of the smart devices. Every company, from Apple to Xiaomi, releases different variations of a smartphone at different price ranges.

This is also true for Samsung because last year and the year before that, we had two iterations of their flagship model. One of them was the base model, and the other was an “Ultra” variant that came with higher specs than the base model.

However, it’s expected that the Samsung S23 will come out with 3 variants. These variants are the following:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 (base model)
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Each of these variants will differ from the other because each of them has been catered towards different price ranges.

What Specs Can We Expect

Keeping up with all of the S23 variants, there are a lot of different specs and features that we might see. We’ll go over them one at a time.

  1. Display: The base model of S23 is expected to come out with a 6.1 inches FHD AMOLED display. On the other hand, the S23 Plus is expected to come with a 6.6 inches FHD AMOLED display, and the ultra might come with a 6.8 inches QHD AMOLED.
  2. Rear Camera: The camera for the base model and the plus variant will be the same, which is 50 MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. But the ultra variant will come with a 200MP main lens, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP 3x telephoto, and a 10MP 10x telephoto lens.
  3. Front Camera: Unlike the rear camera, the front camera will be the same on all the variants. They will come with a 12 MP front-facing camera.
  4. Refresh Rate: One thing that I forgot to mention about the display was the fact that the base model and the plus model will feature a 48 – 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. That’s quite a good refresh rate, but the ultra variant might come with a 1 – 120Hz adaptive refresh rate that can help you save a lot of battery.
  5. Chipset: The next feature of the S23 lineup can be a bit difficult to predict because Samsung uses two types of chipsets in their smartphones. One of them is the Snapdragon, and the other is Exynos. What we can say is that both of these chipsets will be on fire and will be able to go head-to-head with the new iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  6. Battery: The last feature that can have major ramifications for how long the device will function is the battery capacity. All of these 3 phones are expected to have different battery capacities. The lowest being the 3,900 mAh and the highest being the 5,000 mAh.

Possible Release Date for the Phone

Now, reading all of those might have gotten you excited about the new Samsung Galaxy S23 but hold your horses. We do have a rough estimate of when it might be released, but we don’t actually have a confirmed date.

Samsung is going to be holding a Galaxy Unpacked event in February of 2023; that much is confirmed. However, the release of the S23 lineup isn’t confirmed yet.

But now is not the time to get your hopes down because the start of February is only a few days away. Plus, from what I hear, the lineup will be released around the mid of February, which isn’t that far either.

Will the S23 Will Be Affordable

Price is the one thing that can either make a particular appeal to a potential customer or drive them away. For example, I went on for a year without buying a used iPhone because I believed the phone was too rich for my blood.

However, a few months back, I came to the realization that the prices aren’t going to drop a lot, and the prices of all the new smartphones (including Samsung) will only keep on rising because of the tech being used in them. In the end, I was able to round up some money and buy myself a used iPhone 12 Pro (because the new one was still too expensive for me to buy😅).

That’s why I need you to know that this flagship phone lineup made by Samsung won’t come cheap. However, the decision to buy one is still up to you. Suppose you can muster up a few extra bucks; I think that it will definitely be worth your while. Otherwise, you have two options, one where you wait a few months to get a used or Refurbished Samsung mobile phone or approach a website (like, Wise Market) that might give you a better price than what you’ll get on the market.

Will It Be Able to Support Heavy Games

If you’re a dedicated gamer that likes to use a smartphone for gaming purposes, then you might be wondering if it can hold its own against the competition? The gaming industry for smartphones is gradually picking up speed, and so are the demands of the new games.

However, it is expected that one of the variants of the S23 base model will come out with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Gen 1 chipset has proven to be more than capable of supporting heavy games like Call of Duty and PUBG with ease. So, with this new chipset, we can expect much more.

This is because it is said that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is more than enough to rival the A16 Bionic chipset that came with the new iPhone 14 Pro Max. Some might even say that it can even surpass the A16 because they had a full 5-6 months to prepare for this smartphone and would have improved on the overall performance of the device.

Conclusion

These are all the current rumors that we know about the new Samsung Galaxy S23 and all of its variants that might come out in February. We’ll let you know all the official specs when the device itself is released.
